Delete your account

This page explains how to request the deletion of your Guaca account and all data associated with it. It applies to accounts created on useguaca.com and in the Guaca apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android, published by Guaca.

The fastest way: in the Guaca app or on useguaca.com, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. We email you a confirmation code, and once you enter it your account and all its data — including files and photos — are deleted immediately.

To delete your account and all of your data:

• Write to [email protected] from the email address associated with your Guaca account.
• Use the subject line “Delete my account” (or state clearly in the message that you want your account deleted).

We will confirm the request by replying to that email and complete the deletion within 30 days at most. You do not need an active subscription or access to the app to make this request.

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Your account data: name, email address, and profile picture.
• All financial data you entered: accounts, assets, debts, transactions, budgets, income, and retirement plan settings.
• Credentials for any external integrations you connected.
• Data synced across your devices, including attachments.
• Your AI financial chat history, if you used it.

We may retain limited information after deletion only where the law requires it (for example, billing or tax records), and only for as long as those legal obligations apply.

Subscription and purchase records are managed by the app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play) and our subscription provider under their own policies; deleting your Guaca account does not delete your app store purchase history. To cancel a subscription, use your app store’s subscription settings.

You can delete individual pieces of data — accounts, assets, debts, transactions, or budgets — at any time from within the app or at useguaca.com, without deleting your account. You can also disconnect any external integration from your account settings, which removes the stored credentials for it.
